Bogotá, Colombia — October 20, 2025 — Airbus and BioGlobal have signed a collaboration agreement through a Joint Study Agreement (JSA) to support the development of the project “A Gift from Earth to Sky,” which aims to boost the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in Colombia.
The agreement establishes a joint collaboration to commission studies aimed at making the project viable in its early stages. These studies include the assessment of sustainable feedstocks, such as energy crops and agricultural and forestry residues, as well as technical and basic engineering studies on technology pathways such as Alcohol-to-Jet (ATJ), which help diversify SAF production options in the market. This initiative builds on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) previously signed between the two organizations.
